Take Off
While testing the Cosmic Cruiser’s engines, the team encounters giant Scuttleworms and Billy restores the cloaking field. Billy and Solon fix the thrusters, but Solon is captured by Scuttleworms. With Ollie tracking them to Erridus and Zayto weakened from using magic to find Solon, the Rangers split up: Zayto and Izzy search for Solon while the others fight a Copyguard’s orbital bombardment. Fern, left on the ship, takes the last Cosmic Morpher to save Solon and bonds with Solonosaurus DNA to become the Orange Cosmic Fury Ranger. The team reunites, and Zedd reveals his plan to become a Morphin Master by absorbing the Masters’ energy from the Captivator.
Operation Seasoning
Zayto sleeps as the Rangers plan to liberate Earth. Heckyl, posing as Zedd’s ally, fails to lower the planet’s forcefield, but the Rangers’ two Megazords are pulled in by gravity and disabled. Only Aiyon and Zayto avoid capture. Zayto uses his magic to enlarge Solon as a distraction while Aiyon teleports Squillia’s Mega Squidrill into the prison, freeing captured humans and Rangers, including Heckyl. Solon rescues a fainted Zayto, and the Rangers summon their Zords to destroy the remaining Squidrills. Tarrick kills Omwhyzo, and Billy and Heckyl capture Squillia.
Switching Sides
Unable to get intel from Squillia, Lani suggests destroying the Triceratops Statue to sever Ollie’s corrupted Morphin Grid link. Aiyon finds reformed ex-villains Slyther and Mucus in human form and recruits them to infiltrate Zedd’s base. Zayto breaks Mucus’s wish charm, restoring her alien form, but faints. Bajillia arrives to rescue Squillia and fights the Rangers. Amelia, Izzy, and Fern kill both Bajillia and Squillia, though Bajillia’s tentacle escapes. Slyther, disguised as Squillia, destroys the statue, breaking Ollie’s evil programming. Ollie pretends to remain loyal, captures Slyther and Mucus, and reveals Zedd’s plan to become a Morphin Master.
Master Plan
With his magic nearly gone, Zayto vows to use it only to protect the team. Zedd reveals Bajillia is alive and that Ollie’s loyalty was a ruse — Ollie attacks Zedd, having been freed. Amelia leads a rescue mission to Eltar despite Billy’s warning that no backup is available. They fight Inkworth, form the Cosmic Fury Ultrazord, and save Ollie, Mucus, and Slyther, with Ollie and Amelia reconciling. Bajillia traps them and sets the base to explode. With no escape, Zayto uses his last magic to shield the team and is taken into the Morphin Grid. Aiyon refuses to let go and his spirit follows. Ollie suggests combining weapons into a Cosmic Blaster, and Solon discovers Zayto’s T-Rex Orb became a Tricera Orb, restoring Ollie’s powers. Too late, Zedd absorbs the Morphin Masters’ energy, becomes Master Zedd, destroys the Zords, and Bajillia betrays him, trapping him in the Captivator to create a shockwave that will erase all good in the universe.
The End
Aiyon awakens in a white void where a Zayto-like being tells him Zayto’s mortal life has ended and sends him back with the words “May The Power Protect You.” Slyther and Mucus hijack a Squidrill to help the Rangers escape with the Captivator. Billy and other Ranger teams arrive in their Megazords to fight the Squidrill armada. At Zordnia, the Rangers use the Cosmic Blaster to destroy Bajillia. Zayto appears from a portal, now resembling a Morphin Master, and takes the team inside the tube to confront Zedd. Zayto offers Zedd freedom if he gives up his power; Zedd agrees but is instead trapped by Zayto on Planet Nibyro in a nightmare with Rita Repulsa, possibly redeemable someday. The freed Morphin Masters don’t know how Zayto became one, but Aiyon believes the being he met was responsible. Zayto says goodbye, promising to watch over them. Later, Tarrick and Santaura introduce baby Poppy, Javi performs a song called “May The Power Protect You,” and Billy muses with Mick that Zordon is still out there.
