Kamen Rider Zero-One: Review: I’ll Save the Humagears

May 10, 2026

Episode 25, “I’ll Save the Humagears,” serves as an essential, lore-heavy bridge that resets the series’ stakes while introducing a game-changing return. While much of the episode functions as a clip show to recap the complex events of the first 24 episodes, it cleverly weaves in new backstory through Dr. Bot. These revelations—such as Horobi being the original archetype for the series’ father-type Humagears—provide much-needed context for the “Daybreak” incident and Aruto’s father’s role in the Zero-One system. Despite the exposition-heavy first half, the episode maintains narrative momentum by acknowledging the shifting power dynamics within Hiden Intelligence and the evolving threat of the Ark.

The episode’s true highlight is the stunning return of Jin, sporting a sleek new look and the powerful Burning Falcon form. Jin’s transformation from a “child-like” puppet into a confident “freedom fighter” creates a compelling new philosophical conflict; while Aruto wants Humagears to work alongside humans, Jin now seeks to liberate them entirely. His overwhelming defeat of Fuwa signals a massive shift in the power scale, effectively moving away from the Hiden vs. ZAIA workplace competition and back toward a more dangerous, multi-faction war for the future of AI.
