Power Rangers RPM: This is a “love it or hate it” industrial rock track. It’s very minimalist and grimy, reflecting the post-apocalyptic setting. While it’s unique, it lacks the melodic “hook” that makes most Ranger themes iconic.
Power Rangers Dino Fury: A modern take that uses a lot of synth and electronic beats. It’s catchy and well-produced, fitting the “Hasbro Era” aesthetic, but it feels a bit short and less “heroic” than the classic rock anthems.
Power Rangers Beast Morphers: This theme is very “tech-heavy” with lots of digital stings. It’s a bit repetitive, but it successfully communicates the idea of a team powered by computer code and animal DNA. It’s functional but not particularly memorable.
Power Rangers Turbo: This theme is “Shift into Turbo!” on repeat. It has a great racing beat and sounds like a 90s car commercial, but lyrically it’s very thin. It’s fun for a minute but gets old quickly.
Power Rangers Ninja Steel: A very safe, “Disney-style” orchestral rock hybrid. It sounds very similar to Dino Charge but without the same level of punch. It feels a bit like “Power Rangers Theme by Numbers.”
Power Rangers Cosmic Fury: This is essentially a remix of the Dino Fury theme with more “space” sounds. It’s fine, but as the 30th-anniversary theme, many fans were hoping for something that felt a bit more monumental or original.
Power Rangers Samurai: This was the first time the show simply reused the “Go Go Power Rangers” lyrics and melody almost exactly. While the instrumentation is cool and fits the Japanese theme, the lack of original lyrics made it feel like a step backward in creativity.
Power Rangers Megaforce: Much like Samurai, this just uses the “Go Go” hook. It feels even more “copy-paste” than Samurai, lacking any specific “Megaforce” identity in the music. It’s energetic but feels lazy from a songwriting perspective.
Power Rangers Super Megaforce: It’s almost the exact same song as Megaforce, just with a few extra sound effects. For a season celebrating the entire history of the franchise, having a recycled theme song was a major disappointment for the fanbase.
Power Rangers Operation Overdrive: Widely considered the weakest theme. It tried to go for a “cinematic rap” style but the flow is awkward and the lyrics feel forced. It lacks the “cool factor” of Mystic Force and the rock energy that fans expect from the series.
