“Koto and Kiki,” shifts focus to Multiverse Earth I5109 where a volatile hostage situation erupts at the academic academy formerly attended by Kiki Iwai and Kotobuki Takanari. Returning to their alma mater, the forensics-detective duo reunites with their former teacher, Miya Sakaura, only for the situation to turn disastrously violent. Kiki steps in to negotiate directly with the hostage-taker but is shot, leaving her in a critical, life-or-death crisis. With her best friend severely injured, Kotobuki must face a heavy, defining choice, ultimately stepping up to transform into Gavan Luminous to fight in Kiki’s place.
Meanwhile, the overarching multiverse crisis deepens as Reiji Doki attempts a trans-dimensional crossover to reach Earth I5109 and assist the duo. His rescue mission is cut short when his transit fails, trapping him inside the distortion of Makuu Space. Isolated and cut off from his allies, Reiji is forced into an unwelcome confrontation with the rogue former Space Sheriff, Tesshin Mikage (Death Gavan). This leaves the Luminous team completely vulnerable as they fight to protect their universe from collapsing under escalating threats.
