The Silva Switch
Nate and Steel test a body-swap device that malfunctions, trapping Nate in Steel’s robot body and Steel in Nate’s human form. While stuck, each learns to appreciate the other’s struggles — Nate deals with sensory overload, Steel with human emotions. Scrozzle attacks, and they must fight in swapped bodies, using their new empathy to sync up and win. The experience strengthens their brotherly bond.
Source Code
Nate uncovers Evox’s true origin in Grid Battleforce’s files: Evox is actually Venjix, the sentient virus from Power Rangers RPM, reconstructed from Mayor Daniels’ corrupted Morph-X experiment. Disturbed that he and his father may have helped create the villain, Nate turns to Dr. K, who appears to guide him through the revelation. With her help, Nate engineers an Evox antivirus and a new Beast-X King Ultra Bow upgrade. Meanwhile, Evox escapes the lab, absorbs a Beast-X Saber, and recreates his old Robotron generals from his body. Robo-Blaze takes the tower codes to activate the global Morph-X network while Scrozzle secretly uploads them elsewhere, giving Evox control of every tower on Earth.
Evox Unleashed
With the worldwide Morph-X network online, Evox begins draining energy from every tower into Coral Harbor’s Tower One, growing to Gigadrone size. The Rangers confront him, but he’s immune to their weapons and declares himself the true master of the Morphin Grid. Steel volunteers to interface with Evox, letting the virus enter his body to upload Nate’s antivirus. The plan works — Steel purges Evox from within, but the virus overloads Steel’s systems and kills him. Devastated, the team mourns as Nate cradles Steel’s body, and Devon vows they’ll finish the fight for their friend.
Boxed In
Coral Harbor hosts the Pan Global Games, but Ranger duties keep Devon, Ravi, Zoey, and Nate from attending any events. Frustrated, they’re trapped in Grid Battleforce when Scrozzle boxes them in with force-field generators and sends a Gigadrone to destroy the city while they can’t deploy. Ben and Betty, left outside, sneak into the tower to disable the fields. The Rangers escape, combine into the Beast-X Ultrazord, and stop the Gigadrone, learning that teamwork extends to everyone at Grid Battleforce — even if they miss the games.
Making Bad
Evox, still weakened after Steel’s sacrifice, orders Scrozzle to find “the evilest villain of all time” to join his ranks. Scrozzle combs Earth’s history and revives Sledge’s crew from Dino Charge and attempts to recruit Goldar. The Beast Morphers intercept the villains before a full alliance forms, battling Sledge’s ship and Goldar in the city. Though the villains escape, the episode sets up the massive crossover to come, and Devon realizes Evox is building a multiversal army. The Rangers end the season’s penultimate arc knowing the final battle for the Morphin Grid will require more than just their team.
